Meet Matt Gonzales running on independent ticket with Ralph Nader 2008
Ralph Nader has picked a running mate, Matt Gonzales, and will be running not on the Green Party ticket, but as independent for the presidency of the U.S. 2008.. I never heard of Matt Gonzales and was wondering why Nader picked him for vice president. But no longer. You owe it to yourself to listen to this fellow speak. He is a former public defender in San Fransisco California, And has been a leader in getting changes to government. I have embedded a video on my Yuwie page provided below, please bookmark and see it later if you don't have time to listen now. You will be impressed! I am hoping that we (the voters in the U.S.) come to our senses and vote for who we want to win, not who is suppose to win. Throw away your vote? If you vote for someone when you'd rather vote for someone else, that is throwing away your vote. How about this idea...RANK CHOICE VOTING
Everyone votes as usual on election day, and has a choice,
1st choice for the candidate you want
2nd choice for the candidate you would vote for if the first choice wasn't running
3rd choice for the next candidate that you would support. This way we can elect a candidate with a MAJORITY OF THE VOTE for the first time in many years. If no candidate has over 50 percent of the vote, then the 3rd candidate is dropped, and from the ballots cast for that candidate, the 2nd choice is used in order to get a majority from one of the top two. That way we will have a voice in who is elected. Not my idea.... I got it from this wise man, Matt Gonzales. |
